Today's milestone

Today I have reached every continent aside from Antartica and South America so I am extremely excited. I am now trying to get popular in the south. I really enjoy writing in this blog and to all the people that come to my blog either to look at pictures or read the information I want to say thanks. Going for a 100,000 views is next on my list. I have while to go, but with added information I will get there soon enough, thanks again.

Manatee

Well today I went on a drift dive down the Weeki wachee just to double check my dive gear and got lucky and saw 16 manatees. Then it dawned on me people travel all over to see these creatures and pay big money to go on guided tours. When its really not necessary, all you need is just some inside knowledge. The trick to seeing these animals is go early in the morning when the tide is coming into these springs that feed the gulf. Also, they are around all year but some springs close for the manatees breeding season, so make sure to plan around that. Back to how to dive with manatees cheap is most of the state parks have swim landings or campgrounds where you can drop in and see these creatures, so paying extra is not going to increase your chances, just someone's pocket book. The Ocala area is good for spotting them and the Weeki wachee basically any spring on the west coast of Florida. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message.

Easy way to save

A real easy way to save a lot of money is join a dive group and go on a trip. Even cruise lines will give discounts to groups. The most I have received is 15% off. Another option is contact your local dive shop and see if they have any domestic or exotic dive trips planned my dive shop has a list of dive locales all over the world to choose from and they are cheaper than booking separate. Or if you feel like starting a dive club it is a rewarding and wonderful experience. Also, running a dive club gives you the option of diving free. How you may ask? Well easy you get enough paying divers you dive free not only do they save hundreds but you also make out as well. It is a win, win for both of you! Have any other tips feel free to contact me I am not above learning anything new.

Sincerely, Justin

Divemaster training

Ok so I have not been posting for a while due to the fact that I just had son. Well now that everything has settled I can get back to posting. While I had down time, I spent many hours researching different ways to save money and advance as a diver. I have found a month long divemasters program in Honduras that is a month long for 1,350$ for rescue certified they have other programs as well but this includes a month stay in there house and lunch everyday. If you decide to stay longer it is only 10$ a day extra and with the certification you dive with them for free for life that is where the deal comes in. The site is http://www.subwaywatersports.com/Courses/internship.htm No I do not receive anything from them I just find deals and spread the knowledge.
