Conservation

Ok so recently conservation has been all over television, I am glad that its not just scuba divers taking notice. I feel like the tide is changing. With the help of the people and the government we might stop the destruction of our underwater play ground I am not saying go become a fanatic but just try to support local organization in either clean ups or donations, if their is a way you can help then help. I recently seen pictures of an area of a reef down here in Florida that 15 years ago was on the brink but with the help of conservation the area is now returning to its original glory. It is no Roatan but its getting there. Do not think you can help? Well think about this, your BOUYANCY I cant recall how many "good" divers I have seen put their hands on coral or fin off a branch. Take the time to look at your surrounding appreciate them but make sure we watch what we are doing. I understand accidents happen but it does not change the fact that it is still destroyed. The diving that is off shore here in the gulf to far for regular fisherman and yes even divers is some of the most beautiful reefs and the abundance of fish is astounding. It is the presence of man that disrupts this ecosystem. "The road less travel is always better then the beaten path"
